CIEF SOURCE BD – Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to CIEF Source BD, operated by CIEF Worldwide Sdn. Bhd. (Malaysia) with its Bangladesh office located at Floor 9, Hazi Salim Tower, Chawkbazar, Dhaka.
By accessing or using our website (source-bd.cief-malaysia.com), you agree to the Terms & Conditions below.
Please read them carefully before placing any order or making any payment.

2. Our Services

CIEF Source BD provides an end-to-end China → Bangladesh sourcing and logistics service, including:

  • Product purchasing through official 1688 API integration.

  • BDT → CNY payment via our verified CIEF Exchange System.

  • Order consolidation and warehouse management in China.

  • Air freight delivery only, including sensitive-goods channels.

  • Customs clearance and last-mile delivery inside Bangladesh.

  • Local Bangladesh invoice issuance upon request.

3. Ordering & Payment

  1. All prices are quoted in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT).

  2. Full payment in BDT must be completed through the CIEF Exchange System before order processing.

  3. CIEF Source BD will convert BDT to CNY based on the daily CIEF Exchange Rate, which may change without notice.

  4. Orders will be confirmed only after payment verification.

  5. Direct payment to 1688 sellers or third parties is strictly not allowed.

  6. Once submitted and paid, orders cannot be cancelled unless the seller fails to deliver.

4. Air Shipment & Delivery

  1. CIEF Source BD currently supports Air Freight only from China to Bangladesh.

  2. Estimated delivery time (after goods arrive at our China warehouse):
    • 7 – 12 working days to Dhaka area.
    • Up to 15 working days for other districts.

  3. Delivery time may vary due to customs, air capacity, or public holidays.

  4. Tracking number will be available once parcels enter the CIEF Bangladesh logistics system.

  5. Overweight or oversized items may incur additional air freight charges.

  6. Customers must ensure that their delivery address and contact details are accurate.

  7. CIEF Source BD is not responsible for delays caused by inaccurate information or uncollected parcels.

5. Customs & Tax

  1. All shipments are cleared under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) basis unless otherwise agreed.

  2. Bangladesh customs duty and VAT are included in the quoted freight fee.

  3. CIEF Source BD handles customs declaration using the data provided by customers and 1688 sellers.

  4. Incorrect or incomplete declaration information may result in delay or penalty, for which CIEF Source BD will not be liable.

6. Prohibited & Sensitive Items

  1. Prohibited goods include (but are not limited to): weapons, narcotics, liquids, lithium batteries (without declaration), explosives, counterfeit items, and government-restricted products.

  2. Sensitive cargo (e.g. electronics, cosmetics, batteries) must use the Sensitive Air Channel with proper declaration.

  3. Any undeclared sensitive goods may be confiscated by customs without compensation.

7. Warehouse & Consolidation

  1. Each customer has a unique warehouse address and code in China.

  2. Once goods arrive, they will be recorded in the system under “My Warehouse.”

  3. Available services: inspection photo, weight check, repackaging (upon request and fee).

  4. Parcels are shipped out only after all air freight and service charges are settled.

8. Refund & Cancellation

  1. Once payment to supplier has been made, cancellation is not permitted.

  2. If a seller issues a refund (e.g., out-of-stock case), the refunded CNY amount will be converted back to BDT at the CIEF Exchange Rate of the refund day.

  3. Refunds are processed only to the original payment account used.

9. Loss, Damage & Liability

  1. CIEF Source BD is not responsible for any product quality, defect, or mis-shipment by the 1688 seller.

  2. Customers should confirm all product details with sellers before ordering.

  3. For air shipment damage or loss, claims will be handled based on declared value and insurance (if purchased).

  4. Without insurance, CIEF Source BD’s maximum liability is limited to the shipping fee of the affected parcel.

10. Force Majeure

CIEF Source BD shall not be liable for delays or loss caused by circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, air transport restrictions, customs lockdowns, or pandemics.

11. Data Protection & Privacy

  1. Customer data (name, address, order records) is strictly confidential and used only for order processing and logistics.

  2. We do not sell or share data with third parties except customs or logistics partners as required by law.

12. Changes to Terms

CIEF Source BD reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The latest version will be posted on our official website.
